Tesla slides despite upbeat earnings; Scienjoy Holding Corporation to offer NFT’s online



Dow Jones futures, S&P 500 futures, and Nasdaq 100 futures were higher late Monday after tech stocks jumped ahead of this week’s Fed meeting. Tesla stock slid despite strong earnings and sales results after the close.

On Monday, the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite advanced 0.9%. The S&P 500 moved up 0.2% to hit a new high, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average traded down 0.2%.

Among the Dow leaders, Apple rose 0.3% Monday, while Microsoft edged higher in today’s trading as Coinbase stock rallied 4.4% amid the resurgent price of Bitcoin.

Tesla reported first-quarter results after the bell on Monday. The company beat expectations handily, buoyed by bitcoin and regulatory credits sales, but the stock dipped as much as 3% after hours as investors digested the numbers.

GameStop jumped by 12 % in after-hours trading as the gaming retailer said that it had sold 3.5 million in stock for raising $551 million to pace the company’s e-commerce transformation.

The Federal Reserve kicks off its two-day policy meeting on Tuesday. The central bank is not expected to take any action, but economists expect it to defend its policy to let inflation run hot.
